AT PROJECT EVERYONE, OUR MISSION IS TO ACCELERATE PROGRESS TOWARDS A FAIRER, GREENER AND MORE JUST WORLD BY 2030
To make things happen, you have to make things – Richard Curtis, Director, Screenwriter & Co-founder of Project Everyone
Project Everyone, a United Nations Global Partner for SDG Advocacy and Outreach, seeks to put the power of communications behind the Sustainable Development Goals, also known as the Global Goals.
We ‘make’ campaign materials, unique installations, ground-breaking documentaries, one of a kind events and as much impact as possible.
We are a not-for-profit communications agency made up of a dedicated team of campaigners and communicators, who sit at the heart of a global network of civil society organisations, private sector partners, brands, governments, and UN agencies.
The 17 Global Goals are at the core of everything we do – driving awareness and adoption – in order to create a world where extreme poverty is eradicated, climate change is properly addressed, and injustice and inequality are unacceptable.
We value…
Progress for people and planet, with nobody left behind
Creativity to make audacious things possible
Uncomplicated communication of complicated ideas
Nurturing trust, freedom, diversity and passion in our team
Collaboration and great partners
Maximum impact for the global goals, always
SUSTAINABILITY
We are on a journey to ensure we are as sustainable as possible across all areas of our operations, but we acknowledge that we still have some way to go. We have our annual carbon footprint independently assessed and now have our first annual report on our 2022 emissions, with a 2023 report in progress. We are aiming to reduce our emissions in line with recognised Science Based Targets, while ensuring that we can carry out our mission of driving awareness, affinity and action towards the Global Goals.
Whilst we have offset our travel emissions since 2019, we are taking steps towards a more robust system of offsetting to ensure the highest quality outcome, and we recognise that offsetting is always in addition to a sustained drive to reduce emissions.
In addition to our focus on carbon reduction, we have implemented the following:
- We offer a cycle-to-work scheme.
- We use a 100% green, renewable energy supplier.
- We minimise the use of paper and we re-use and recycle all paper used in the office.
- We buy recycled and recyclable paper where possible.
- Where possible we recycle all other office waste and use environmentally friendly waste disposal companies.
- We source organic, sustainable, and equitably produced items for the office, including cleaning products, tea and coffee and we aim to buy locally where possible.
- Where possible we use sustainable materials for our branding. Our pin badges are made from 100% renewable fast-growing wood, and they are packaged in sugar cane wrapping.
- Our financial dealings are restricted to ethical banks; we will never invest in unsustainable and inequitable funds that perpetuate environmental injustice in the UK and overseas.
- We encourage staff to invest in ethical pensions.
JEDI (JUSTICE, EQUITY, DIVERSITY & INCLUSION)
We’re all responsible for building a diverse, inclusive, and accountable environment where employees of all backgrounds and lifestyles feel a sense of belonging, mutual respect and kindness.
We have a JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) Working Group led by an independent, external chairperson. The group is dedicated to ensuring that our business is truly diverse and inclusive in policy and practice: Externally with our partners and suppliers, and internally we promote a workplace where all of us can be empowered to be ourselves, and in doing so, we aim to positively impact the world in which we live, work and play.
