Global Goals Week is an annual week of action where the United Nations and partners from around the world come together to drive action, raise awareness and hold leaders to account in order to accelerate progress to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals.
Global Goals Week was launched in 2016 by founding partners Project Everyone, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the United Nations Foundation.
Timed to coincide with the UN General Assembly, the week includes many exciting events and activations in New York but also around the world, including the Global Day of Action, which sees thousands of people show their commitment to the Goals.
2018 was the biggest Global Goals Week yet. Project Everyone produced this trailer for the week, rallying excitement and action around the goals and garnering 40,000 organic views. In total, 70,000 people participated in Global Goals week events in New York, with 286,000 people joining in online from a range of sectors and from 127 countries and 54 different languages, representing a truly global effort. With 36 partners, and growing, Global Goals Week has become a key annual moment as part of the Global Goals Campaign.
